Dr. Gary Kompothecras raises autism awareness in Sarasota with “Vaxxed” screenings
Why it matters
This is Dr. Gary’s own announcement from 2016, ten years before autism causes reached the federal agenda. He and his wife put their family’s story in public to tell Sarasota parents to ask questions before they vaccinate.

In a release distributed through Newswire on May 31, 2016 (corrected June 1), Dr. Gary Kompothecras, founder of 1-800-ASK-GARY, announced that he was bringing “Vaxxed: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe” to the Regal Hollywood Stadium 20 in Sarasota from June 3 to June 9.
The release followed a SCENE Magazine feature on the family. Dr. Gary said that he and his wife hoped to raise autism awareness and work toward prevention and a cure, because two of their six children are autistic.
He said he hoped expectant mothers would look past the information they receive from pharmaceutical companies and doctors and ask their own questions about vaccines. Read the full release at the link below.
